So, the day is here! The announcements of Pitch Wars mentees and mentor matchups!
I am beyond thrilled to announce that I am welcoming KA Blaser to #TeamTruth (find out later why this is my chosen team name for the year!)

So what stood out to me about KA’s book? Well, first off, gut instinct. When I read my mentee’s book, my heart instantly said:
And then there’s the fact that it’s got amazing characters who leap off the page in so many complex ways. Each one of them is a mix of heartfelt and concerned, strong and confused, determined and wise, naive and deceptive, all in different measures. In short, they felt real. And they were flawed (wonderfully so.)

The writing is beautiful and evocative. The culture leaks off the pages. And the intimacy with which KA invites you into this world is astounding. How could I have possibly have said no?
And why have I chosen #TeamTruth this year as a team name? Because our readers deserve the truth. Our MMIW deserve the truth. And I want to work with KA with as much truth and intensity and passion as I can bring to the table.
